We are delighted to welcome people into the life of this Christian Community! Though we welcome you at whatever level of involvement to which you feel God has called you, we encourage active participants to officially join St. Mark’s through Baptism, Transfer, Confirmation or Reception. A New Member information form helps us to officially include you in our directory and register (see the link and adobe information below). Those family members who are not yet Baptized, though not officially registered, can be listed in our directory.
If you have been Baptized with water in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, you may be a Baptized Member at St. Mark’s, no matter what your former denomination. It is expected that adults and older youth, after appropriate preparation, affirm their baptismal vows by being Confirmed or Received in the Episcopal Church. Episcopalians desiring to establish membership at St. Mark’s should request a letter of transfer from their former parish (even if its been a while since you’ve been active there, your former parish should have record of your membership). Church records are an historic institution—a way of keeping and passing down history, and as a vital help for pastoral oversight by the clergy. These records are kept safe by the clergy or registrar, and are shared only for good cause on a case by case basis, and not distributed as a whole. Address and phone information from the info form will be printed in a directory (not distributed publicly), so please indicate any basic information that you would NOT like to have printed in the directory. Please help us keep accurate and thorough records by filling out this information to the best of your ability.
Participation in the church involves ministry and financial support; please also fill out a new pledge form to indicate what ministries you feel called to support with time and talent, and what level of financial support you are called to give for the coming calendar year.
